Collaboration with Leading Kidney Care Vendors, Intelligent Health
and Connected Care Showcased
CULVER CITY, Calif. & ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
NantHealth, Inc. (NASDAQ: NH), a leader in connected care solutions,
will unveil a series of new initiatives designed to improve patient
outcomes and provider satisfaction at the 2019 Healthcare Information
and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Annual Conference and Exhibition
taking place this week in Orlando. NantHealth’s main booth location will
be #4944. The company will also be featured in the HIMSS
Interoperability Showcase™ and the Intelligent Health Pavilion™.
NantHealth’s executive, Wesley Madden, BSN, RN, Vice President of
Connected Care, will be a featured speaker on “The Future of Medical
Device Integration (MDI) Across the Continuum of Care” on February 13th
at 11:30 a.m.
“NantHealth is consistently exploring how technology can accelerate data
availability for clinicians in order to make more informed decisions,
from cancer care to dialysis and much more. Together, our researchers
and technology experts are advancing technologies that may lead to more
accurate care plans and better data for the management of patient care,”
said Wesley Madden, BSN, RN, Vice President of Connected Care,
NantHealth. “We’re proud of the innovative initiatives that are coming
from our NantHealth team, and we see each day that they are making a
difference in the lives of patients and their care teams.”
NantHealth Collaborates with Leading Kidney Care Vendors
NantHealth will demonstrate its latest data delivery capabilities in a
kidney care use case at the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase in Hall F -
Booth #9100, which brings together multiple vendors with kidney and
dialysis treatment solutions. Leveraging NantHealth technology, like the
DeviceConX™ platform, clinicians may improve their productivity and
reduce error-prone, manual transcription throughout the continuum of
care in areas like kidney care.
NantHealth offers a flexible software-based solution that facilitates
the transfer of patient data from nearly any medical device, including
leading dialysis machines, and delivers that data to the EMR or other
clinical repository. The vendor-neutral nature of the solution is
important because it helps healthcare systems overcome data
fragmentation, thereby allowing anyone caring for the patient to access
that patient’s complete health record because of data aggregation
through bedside PCs, laptops, tablets and workstations-on-wheels.
NantHealth’s solutions are built upon vendor-agnostic architecture and
include a growing library of more than 500 medical devices for
integration.
As part of the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase, NantHealth will
collaborate with leading healthcare and IT vendors, including Care
Evolution, Dell Boomi, DevCool and Meehealth, to show how one patient
with end-stage renal disease (ESRD), who required life-sustaining
treatments, may be able to see improved outcomes.
NantHealth’s Streamlined Patient Intake Vitals Workflow and Low
Acuity Vital Sign Transfer
NantHealth will demonstrate new components of its connected care work in
the Intelligent Health Pavilion in Hall E - Booth #8559. The company
will highlight use cases including:
-
Streamlined Patient Intake Vitals Workflow and Low Acuity Vital
Sign Transfer - NantHealth will demonstrate how the company’s
VitalsConX solution enables clinicians to spend less time entering
data during a normal shift and spend more time caring for patients.
Industry studies have shown that manual data entry decreases clinician
satisfaction and increases the likelihood of transcription-related
medical errors that could negatively impact patient care.
-
Connecting the Modern Operating Room - Since hospital
ORs and ambulatory surgical centers (ASC) can have several different
vendor devices, serving a multitude of roles, NantHealth’s DeviceConX
can act as the collector, aggregator and vehicle for data transfer
across many different device vendors. With a single data feed to the
clinical information system, the hospital will have fewer interfaces
to manage. NantHealth’s DeviceConX can also deliver value to hospitals
by network-enabling legacy devices from a variety of vendors allowing
them to achieve connectivity without the need to invest in new medical
devices.
The Future of Medical Device Integration (MDI) Across the Continuum
of Care
Wesley Madden, BSN, RN, Vice President of Connected Care, NantHealth,
will be a featured speaker at the Intelligent Health Pavilion Innovation
Theater on February 13th at 11:30 a.m.,
discussing NantHealth’s expertise in connected care and how MDI will
evolve across the continuum of care and empower AI platforms.
